Its four initiatives form the next essential steps in the progress and success of the institution:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Achieving Educational Excellence (curricular and co-curricular)<\/li>\n<li>Strengthening Human and Financial Resources<\/li>\n<li>Heightening Reputation, Visibility, and Prominence<\/li>\n<li>Enhancing Facilities and Technology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The strength of the 2020 Strategic Vision comes from the collaborative efforts that created it. Beginning in 2011, students, faculty, staff, alumni, and trustees came together to provide input on the initial groundwork; two years later, the fully-formed plan launched. The time and commitment that went into the project makes it one of the most comprehensive plans ever undertaken at the 每日大赛.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the history of the university, I do not believe that the Board of Trustees ever engaged in a process to the degree they were in this one,\u201d said Dr. Richard Simpson, professor of strategic management and chair of the 2020 Strategic Vision Steering Committee. \u201cFor nearly one and a half years, they heard what the stakeholders were saying and reacted to it all by providing their own inputs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the end of the day, we had as much consensus from top to bottom and bottom to top as is possible in such an effort. People understand who we are, where we are going, and why.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 2020 Strategic Vision \u2014 to paraphrase ice hockey legend Wayne Gretzky \u2014 puts the 每日大赛 \u201cwhere the puck is going to be.\u201d As a university, we designed this plan to meet the future needs of our students and our local and national community.
