{"id":46,"date":"2018-05-15T10:53:24","date_gmt":"2018-05-15T17:53:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/laverne.edu\/accounts\/?page_id=46"},"modified":"2025-11-24T13:39:37","modified_gmt":"2025-11-24T21:39:37","slug":"bookstore-authorizations","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/laverne.edu\/accounts\/bookstore-authorizations\/","title":{"rendered":"Bookstore Authorizations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Book authorizations are available to all students whose Financial Aid exceeds the cost\u00a0of their tuition and fees.<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible for a book authorization, you must be registered for the classes you are requesting books for, your account must be current, and all documents and forms necessary for disbursement of funds must be completed. In addition, the Federal Funds Authorization form must be completed:<\/p>\n<p>If you elect to authorize your Title IV funds, please follow the instructions below:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to www.laverne.edu and click on La&nbsp;Verne Portal, log in with your email name and email password.<\/li>\n<li>On the left side menu, scroll down to <strong>Financial Aid &amp; Student Accounts<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Award<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Award by Aid Year<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select Aid Year 2025-2026<\/li>\n<li>Under the Resources tab, go to the section: <strong>\u00a0I authorize Student Accounts to apply excess Federal Funds to pay other charges besides tuition, fees, room, and board, which are billed to my student account<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Accept<\/strong> to authorize.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For each semester or trimester, a list of eligible students will be available at the bookstore and updated every three days during the dates listed below.\u00a0 Students can verify the dollar amount available to them with the bookstore personnel and purchase their books using the book authorization.\u00a0 The books will be billed to their student account before their financial aid is disbursed.<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible for a book authorization, please make sure you can\u00a0answer yes to\u00a0ALL of the questions listed below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Am I registered for the minimum number of units required to be eligible for Financial Aid?<\/li>\n<li>Does my Financial Aid exceed my tuition and fees?<\/li>\n<li>Have I satisfied all the requirements necessary for disbursement?
