They appear only because they occupy the same system space where registration holds are stored.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>If you\u2019ve cleared the advising hold and no other actual hold is listed (for example, an Accounting Hold), you can <strong>ignore the message<\/strong> and let the student know they are free to register.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"elementtoproof\" style=\"background: white\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8320 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/laverne.edu\/advising\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/52\/2025\/03\/Some-holds-not-displayed.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"297\" height=\"174\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Quick Scenario: Why Your Registration Time Looks \u201cOff\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span>A student thinks their registration time is wrong and reaches out to their academic advisor because they saw in MyDegree Tracker they have 74 semester hours of earned units (semester hours).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Advisor Action &amp; Message:<\/strong> The advisor subtracts 17 semester hours of in-progress work for the current term and determines that the student has only earned 57 semester hours. The advisor responds, \u201cYou currently have <strong>57 earned units<\/strong>, which places you in the <strong>April 21, 9:00 a.m.<\/strong> registration group (Spring 2026). Registration time ticketing for undergraduate students who attend the main campus is based on semester hours completed.
