Spend your lunch break with the HONOR 361 class (Food and the Body) with Dr. Sarah Rodman-Alvarez and visit Baldy View Elementary (part of Upland Unified School District). While there, you will be hearing about why their student garden is an important part of the well-being of the elementary school students.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Why should I be interested in going to an elementary school garden? To see how a local school makes gardening part of childrens\u2019 lives!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Students will be assigned tasks that help the student garden to function (e.g. prepare the soil to be planted).<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

ACTIVITY INFORMATION:<\/span>
\n✔️ Students will be transported to\/from Baldy View Elementary in Upland<\/span><\/p>\n

✔️ This activity is part of a class, and will be from 12:05pm to 1:45pm. Estimated return is 2:00-2:15pm<\/span><\/p>\n

✔️ Boxed lunch will be provided for all attendees.<\/span><\/p>\n

✔️ Meeting place is in FRONT of the Randall Lewis Center for Well-Being and Research at 12 noon<\/span><\/p>\n

Limited slots are available and will close on MON 4\/3 at 12 noon OR when spots are filled.<\/span>
