Ruth Carter, First ABA Legal Rebel from Arizona, to Speak at La Verne Law
On March 26, Ruth Carter, Esq. will visit La Verne Law to share her story of how she went from being a non-traditional law student, middle of the pack grade-wise, to the first ABA Legal Rebel from Arizona.
Carter鈥檚 talk at La Verne Law is part of her 14-day 鈥淯ndeniable Law School Tour鈥� that will include eight visits to law schools around the country. She chose La Verne Law because she was impressed with an alumna.聽鈥淒uring my 1L summer, I did an internship with the Army JAG and one of the lawyers in the office was a La Verne graduate. I was quite impressed with her, and I would love to visit her alma mater,鈥� she said.

During her talk, Carter will focus on teaching law students real-life entrepreneurial techniques and tools for long-term professional success 鈥� especially for students who want to use social media to network effectively and those who are interested in opening a practice. She says that 鈥渢he old rule used to be 鈥業t鈥檚 not what you know but who you know.鈥� Now it鈥檚 鈥業t鈥檚 not who you know, but who knows you.鈥欌��
