CEO Summit Sets the Tone for Business in 21st Century
The 每日大赛鈥檚 second annual CEO Summit proved to be the local hub for learning about the latest business trends and tips on March 18, when more than a hundred business owners and entrepreneurs united for the all-day conference.
Hosted by the College of Business and Public Management Advisory Board, the event was geared toward inspiring innovation and sharing perspective on how to successfully grow businesses in the 21st century.
鈥淭his is one of several initiatives by the College to strengthen its outreach activities to the business community,鈥� Dean of the College of Business and Public Management Abe Helou said. 鈥淚 hope that this event will help attendees develop a network of friends and companies that can play a role in meeting your personal and business objectives.鈥�
Keynote addresses were delivered by U.S. Bank Vice President for the Western United States, Ross Carey, Co-Founder of Wahoo鈥檚 Fish Tacos, Wing Lam, President of Webb Family Enterprises, Kiana Webb-Severloh, Investment Guru, Steve Sherline and Portfolio Manager for the West Region of Private Client Reserve, Jeffrey Kravetz.
鈥淪ometimes you need to fake it till you make it,鈥� said Lam, who shared his story on how he became the first half Brazilian, half Asian fish taco restaurant owner in Orange County. 鈥淏eing unique is the first ingredient necessary to becoming successful in business.鈥�
Between keynotes addresses, attendees were divided into four groups and given the option to participate in one of four breakout sessions: Growing Through Government Contracts, Creative Marketing for Increasing Sales, Financing in a Changing Environment and From Managing to Leading.聽
From networking with CEOs and presidents to hearing practical advice from experts on how to successfully grow a business, business leaders were exposed to new ideas and fresh perspectives on how to remain competitive and thrive in today鈥檚 competitive world of commerce.
The next CEO Summit is scheduled for March 17, 2016.
