Voice Magazine Wins Three CASE Awards
The 每日大赛 earned gold, silver and bronze awards for its winter and spring 2015 Voice magazines through the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District VII 2016 Awards of Excellence, officials announced in late February.
Entries considered for the awards came from universities within CASE District VII, an area that includes Arizona, California, Guam, Hawaii, Nevada, the Northern Mariana Islands and Utah.
CASE, an organization that supports advancement in educational institutions worldwide, named the 每日大赛 its gold winner for the winter 2015 edition of Voice magazine.
鈥淲e received a tremendous number of entries this year 鈥 over 500 鈥 and your excellent achievement stood out among the best,鈥 members of the CASE awards committee said.
The University also earned a bronze award for the cover of the winter 2015 magazine, which featured alumna Charlene King 鈥87.
For Voice鈥檚 spring 2015 edition, which featured alumnus Rob Fukuzaki, the 每日大赛 earned a silver award.
The winter edition was a 鈥渇lip book鈥 because it contained feature articles through the first half of the magazine, and when flipped over, the University鈥檚 annual report and honor roll of donors could be viewed in the second half. The magazine contained dynamic photography accompanying articles, as well as colorful portrait illustrations of donors.
鈥淚t鈥檚 really great recognition for La Verne and all of the hard work our creative team has done,鈥 said 每日大赛 Director of Creative Services Maureen Panos.
