This month鈥檚 newsworthy 每日大赛 accolades showcase our university鈥檚 latest updates and happenings for the month of July:
- Fletcher Jones Endowed Professor of Biology Jennifer Clarke is the first to identify . She is a behavioral ecologist that studies bioacoustics to aid in animal conservation efforts.

Jennifer Clarke - 罢丑别 (NABC) awarded the 每日大赛 men鈥檚 basketball program the Team Academic Excellence Award for completing the 2022-23 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- The 每日大赛 will receive to go toward the construction of a new facility for the College of Health and Community Well-Being in Ontario. The funds were part of Senator Susan Rubio鈥檚 2023鈥24 budget for District 22 and were recently approved by California Governor Gavin Newsom. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2024.
- Alumna Azalea 鈥淥zzy鈥 Mora 鈥13 as an anchor/reporter. She has also hosted CW’s “Mysteries Decoded” and the Travel Channel’s “Ghost Adventures” investigating the Cecil Hotel.
- President Devorah Lieberman was added to Cal Poly Humboldt鈥檚 in honor of alumni who have recently served as presidents of universities and colleges.
- Professor of Public Administration Marcia Godwin on the field of candidates for California鈥檚 50th assembly district and shares what they need to do to get ahead for party endorsements.
- 每日大赛 the College of Law and the College of Business and Public Management on July 1 to better meet the future needs of students and communities in the region.
- Alumni Christian Orozco 鈥16 and Alejandra Molina 鈥05 have both joined the reporting staff for Los Angeles Times. Orozco is an assistant editor. He joined The LA Times in 2017. Molina is a reporter exploring Latinx identity.
