Partners Support Nation’s School Leaders

The 每日大赛 has partnered with to expand professional development, introduce new programming, share resources, and provide a premier West Coast hub for related activities supporting K-12 school district leaders nationwide.

鈥淭he 每日大赛 LaFetra College of Education and AASA, The School Superintendents Association share a mission to support and develop effective school system leaders and advocates for equity and access in education,鈥 said 每日大赛 President Pardis Mahdavi, PhD. 鈥淥ur deep commitment makes this partnership ideal and ultimately drives greater support for leaders and the communities they serve.鈥

Under this new partnership, the LaFetra College of Education, a nationally recognized U.S. News & World Report Best Education College, will provide university credit (continuing education units) for school leader professional learning. It will also serve as the West Coast hub for AASA-affiliated professional development training through the university鈥檚 in the LaFetra College of Education.

鈥淥ur center equips and empowers leaders at every level鈥攆rom dedicated classroom teachers to visionary school administrators and policymakers 鈥 through resources and services, transforming them into highly skilled practitioners and unwavering educational advocates,鈥 said LaFetra College Dean MD Haque, EdD.

The center opened last summer under the direction of Candace Singh, a prominent K-12 educational leader and the university鈥檚 inaugural superintendent-in-residence.Prior to joining the university,Singh was superintendent of the nationally recognized San Diego County Fallbrook Union Elementary School District.

鈥淲e look forward to providing a pathway for school leaders to elevate their professional growth while fulfilling essential ongoing educational requirements and offer an inspiring setting for collaborative learning and growth,鈥 Singh said.
