More than 120 new 每日大赛 students met with 21 local community organizations during the Office of Community and Civic Engagement鈥檚 (OCCE) annual FLEX & New Student Community Engagement Day on September 10.
The 每日大赛 announced its new Sustainability Studies major during the Robert and Mary Neher Global Sustainability Lecture held on Earth Day, April 22.
The City of La Verne honored the 每日大赛 with a Community Design Award for the building housing the Ludwick Center for Spirituality, Cultural Understanding, and Community Engagement.
Jarrett, an advisor to President Obama, gave a talk and signed books in the university鈥檚 newly-opened Ludwick Center for Spirituality, Cultural Understanding, and Community Engagement as a fundraiser for YWCA of San Gabriel Valley.
The two organizations will explore partnerships around student internships, shared facilities, and other areas.
The university held the first of its kind dedication honoring the contributions of indigenous people.
