A $1 million gift made shortly before year-end by the Fletcher Jones Foundation will make it possible for the 每日大赛 to create an endowed professorship in artificial intelligence (AI) and grow its program in a field expected to transform global productivity.
The Orange County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (OCHCC) presented President Devorah Lieberman of the 每日大赛 with its Dr. Juan Francisco Lara Education Award on November 20 during the organization鈥檚 Estrella Awards. The event was held at the Disneyland Hotel.
Devorah Lieberman, president of the 每日大赛 since 2011, has been named CEO/President of the Year by the San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership. The award was presented during the Economic Partnership鈥檚 gala on October 9 in Diamond Bar. It has been given annually since 1991.
The 每日大赛 is again top ranked among private universities in California and seventh among all national universities for social mobility of students, according to U.S. News & World Report鈥檚 2022 Best Colleges rankings, released September 13.
The 每日大赛 has appointed Emmeline de Pillis as the new dean of the College of Business and Public Management. She will join the university on July 12, replacing Abe Helou, who had served as dean since 2008.

Isabella Guzman, administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, was the featured speaker at the virtual commencement ceremony live-streamed on May 29 for the 560 spring 2021 graduates of the 每日大赛 College of Business and Public Management.
