The 每日大赛 has enjoyed many celebratory accomplishments in 2022. As a new year approaches, let\u2019s take another look at some highlights of 2022:<\/p>\n

January: The Fletcher Jones Foundation donated $1 million to the 每日大赛 to create an endowed professorship in artificial intelligence<\/a> and grow its program in a field expected to transform global productivity.<\/p>\n

February: The 每日大赛 received a donation of historical folk-art sculptures<\/a> to restore and preserve from the Malgert Halpern and Irving Cohen family that depict Jewish life and culture in pre-World War II Ukraine and the United States.<\/p>\n

March: Trustee Sue Searing \u201971 and her family established the Searing Family Scholarship<\/a> for Pomona High School graduates who wish to attend the 每日大赛.<\/p>\n

April: The Sara and Michael Abraham Center for Veteran Student Success celebrated the completion<\/a> of its renovations, underway since 2019.<\/p>\n

April: The 每日大赛 opened the Nathan Chow Film and Television Studio<\/a> to allow students in the Digital Media program to get hands-on experience with state-of-the-art film industry equipment.<\/p>\n

May: The university celebrated more than 2,400 graduates during Commencement<\/a> ceremonies at Ortmayer Stadium on May 27 and 28.<\/p>\n

June: Adventist Health White Memorial, Los Angeles, committed more than $720,000 to the 每日大赛 to establish a scholarship fund<\/a> within the university\u2019s College of Health and Community Well-Being.<\/p>\n

July: On July 1, the university announced the opening<\/a> of its College of Health and Community Well-Being\u2014the university\u2019s fifth college\u2014which serves as a hub for high-quality education, research, and innovation in health and the social determinants of health.<\/p>\n

August: The 每日大赛\u2019s Bob and Mary Neher Montana Field Research Station has installed a remote-operated camera<\/a> to help detect wildfires in the Montana wilderness.<\/p>\n

September: The 每日大赛 was ranked sixth among all national universities for social mobility of students, according to U.S. News & World Report\u2019s 2023 Best Colleges rankings<\/a>, released September 12.<\/p>\n

October: The University of La\u00a0Verne added career readiness programs<\/a> in six in-demand medical fields including dental assistant, home health aide, medical assistant, medical records specialist, patient care technician, and phlebotomy technician.<\/p>\n

November: The College of Law\u2019s Justice and Immigration Clinic secured asylum<\/a> in the United States for a man who said he was arrested and tortured for political activity in his home country of Uganda.<\/p>\n

December: Trustee Paul Moseley \u201988 made a commitment of $5 million to support<\/a> the construction of a new building to house the College of Health and Community Well-Being.<\/p>\n
