It will also serve as the West Coast hub for AASA-affiliated professional development training through the university\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/education.laverne.edu\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Center for Educational Leadership<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\"> in the LaFetra College of Education.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201cOur center equips and empowers leaders at every level\u2014from dedicated classroom teachers to visionary school administrators and policymakers \u2013 through resources and services, transforming them into highly skilled practitioners and unwavering educational advocates,\u201d said LaFetra College Dean MD Haque, EdD.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The center opened last summer under the direction of Candace Singh, a prominent K-12 educational leader and the university\u2019s <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">inaugural superintendent-in-residence.\u00a0Prior to <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">joining the university,\u00a0Singh was superintendent of the nationally recognized San Diego County Fallbrook Union Elementary School District.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201cWe look forward to providing a pathway for school leaders to elevate their professional growth while fulfilling essential ongoing educational requirements and offer an inspiring setting for collaborative learning and growth,\u201d Singh said.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aasa.org\/home\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">AASA, The School Superintendents Association<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">, is the professional organization for more than 13,000 educational leaders in the United States and throughout the world.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201cThis partnership underscores our commitment to working with the higher education community as we continue to provide our members with every opportunity to grow, refine and strengthen their practice,\u201d said David R.
