These include paintings of different shapes and sizes that range from figurative representation to color-focused abstraction, graphic precision to expressive gesture, up-beat tempo to calm meditation, and impressive scale to nuanced detail. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:279}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Works included in this show may allude to signs, symbols, or dreams and <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">emphasize that art is participatory, according to Dion Johnson, university director of art galleries and distinguished artist. Each piece transmits layers of meaning from its painted surface to the viewers\u2019 optic receptors &#8211; these messages and sensations become part of a lively visual conversation where gallery visitors are invited to look, interact, and discover, he adds. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:279}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The Harris Gallery is across from the Abraham Campus Center at 2000 Second Street on the La&nbsp;Verne campus. Gallery hours are Monday \u2013 Thursday 11 a.m. &#8211; 4 p.m. or by appointment. Admission is free.
