Lunar New Year celebration brings university community together through cooking and culture<\/span><\/h2>\n

Students, faculty, and staff gathered at The Spot to make dumplings in celebration of Lunar New Year. \u201cIt was really fun,\u201d said Preston Lieu, co-president of the 每日大赛\u2019s Asian American and Pacific Islander club. \u201cIt reminded me of fond memories from when I made dumplings as a kid.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For Lily Chi, residential life coordinator for Citrus and Oaks halls, the event was an opportunity to test her culinary skills. \u201cI\u2019m Korean, so I do celebrate Lunar New Year,\u201d she said. \u201cDumplings are more of a Chinese tradition, but being able to share a bit of Asian culture is really fun.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
