The Culturally Specific Campus Grant (CSC) is funded by the U.S. Department of Justice through the Office of Violence Against Women (OVW) to provide support services for survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking (DDVSAS). It also strengthens ULV鈥檚 responseeffortsto these crimes and expandsprevention educationfor students, staff and faculty to help stop them before they occur. The CSC grant has allowed us to create a Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT) that brings together campus departments and local community partners to prevent and respond to DDVSAS.
Our CCRT works collaboratively to:
鈥�Strengthen prevention education and awareness across campus
鈥�Improve how ULV responds to disclosures and reports of harm
鈥�Ensure students have access to trauma–informed, survivor centered support
鈥�Review and enhance policies, procedures and trainings related to DDVSAS
鈥�Build strong partnerships with off campus advocacy agencies, law enforcement and legal resources
