The Title IX Coordinator will reach out to provide resources, support, and information after receiving a report, but community members are not required to respond to such outreach. Reported information will be remain private.<br><br>For information regarding the University of La\u00a0Verne\u2019s Title IX and sexual misconduct procedures, reporting options, and supportive measures, please visit the University\u2019s Title IX webpage at www.laverne.edu\/title-ix. Reporting to a supervisor, Human Resources, or Student Affairs does not meet this reporting responsibility. With the consent of the disclosing party, employees are encouraged, but not required, to share such disclosures not subject to the University\u2019s jurisdiction such as those occurring off-campus and not involving any other University community members. If an employee is unsure about whether they are required to report, they should contact the Title IX Coordinator for an assessment.<br><br>Employees may also have reporting responsibilities under CANRA, the Clery Act, or other laws that are separate from sexual misconduct reporting obligations<br><br>When someone shares that they have experienced sexual misconduct, it is important to respond with care and direct them to appropriate information. Employees can respond in a supportive and appropriate manner by keeping the following in mind:<br><br>-If you believe that someone may be about to make a disclosure to you, inform them of your reporting obligations.<br>-Listen with empathy and avoid being judgmental or discouraging.<br>-Share relevant resources, including the Title IX webpage.<br>-Assure them that the Title IX Office is a safe space and reporting to the Title IX Office does not necessarily automatically initiate an investigation.<br>-Do not investigate the report or attempt to gather additional information yourself.<br>-Do not take any administrative or employment action without first conferring with the Title IX Coordinator.<br><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/aside>\n \n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Faculty and staff play an important role in keeping the 每日大赛 a safe and inclusive environment for learning, living, and working.
