La Verne Safe Return Update

Dear 每日大赛 Community,

As the fall semester approaches, we continue to closely monitor the trends of the coronavirus pandemic across our region and our state.

Cases of COVID-19 and rates of hospitalizations have risen in many California counties over the last month, and yesterday the governor and several large school districts rolled back some reopening plans.

Given these developments, the 每日大赛 continues to evaluate its Safe Return plan for the fall, including consideration of increased remote learning and operations.

As you know, the La Verne Safe Return plan prioritizes the health and safety of students, faculty, and staff while also honoring the university鈥檚 historical commitment to student-centered and personalized education. We remain committed to those principles, and will continue to provide a high-quality education no matter the location or platform.

We continue to await guidance for institutions of higher education from the California governor and county public health departments, which we believe will be released in the near future. That guidance may also help to inform any adjustments to our fall plans.

These are unprecedented times, and circumstances will continue to change over the next several weeks. We will remain fluid in our planning and continue to share additional information with the university community as it becomes available.

Thank you for your understanding, engagement, and commitment to the 每日大赛.

Sincerely,

Devorah Lieberman, PhD
President
